It’s so so good. I’m angry at myself for waiting so long to read it because honestly I knew I would love it as soon as I heard John green talk about it with such admiration and love.

Now I will forever talk about it with admiration and love, too. This book… this book makes me want to play video games (which I have never been a fan of). This book makes me want to be a better person (after all what would Marx do?) this book makes me want to write. This book… this book is the best books I have ever read.

Each character is so loveable and flawed and relatable. The writing is beautiful. I love how Zevin set up the book into sections that are inspired by the games the characters create or the characters themselves. This book has one of the most devastating characters deaths I’ve ever read- beware you will stay up late reading with tears in your eyes. I even love how the book jumps around a bit to other characters POVs some aren’t even MCs but people close and important to the MCs and in turn makes the story more compelling and builds the MC characters depth. I will be recommending this book to every reader I know.
