"The Notebook" was so much better than the movie. Favorite Character: Noah
I watched "The Notebook" with my mother when I was younger and didn't understand why people liked to watch movies / read books that were "romantic" in any way, shape, or form.... But now I understand that a truly beautiful love story can make you think in a different way. I loved the scene when Allie unexpectedly goes to Noah's house and they end up having dinner together. I also think that the ending is beautiful (Allie remembering Noah; them dying together in the nursing home). Nicholas Sparks has a certain elegance to his writing that portrays events in a way that is both beautiful and heartbreaking. You can only get the full experience while reading this book once.
