What an interesting take on the witch trials, and in a region I didn't know had much activity of the sort until very recently. While I didn't find any of the characters loveable, or even particularly likeable, they felt very real and human, and it was apparent how and why these ridiculous accusations would have taken place.

This is a good read for anyone interested in the witch hunts, especially in regions outside of North America and Spain.
