Corrupted by Lisa Scottoline

Rating 4.5
(Review Not on Blog)
Bennie Rosato the queen of the firm is as a hard-as-nails brash lawyer - and proud of it. In this novel we get to see a different side of her. She is more vulnerable in Corrupted. She is defending a past client - a client she felt she had let down. Jason, her 13-year old client, was sent to juvenile detention for getting into a fight with his bully. Now years later, that bully is murdered and Jason is again facing jail time unless Bennie can win this time.
We also get to see a bit of romance with Bennie and a love interest. Both the romance and caring for Jason has given Bennie a bit of a more softness without taking away her skills as a lawyer and leader.
