Breakfast at Tiffany's and Three Stories by Truman Capote

3.0

Interesting story with a lot of charm, but I'm afraid it did not age well. Many thoughts crossed my mind as I wrote this review. The main one was that there are quite some stereotypes portrayed and unfortunately these are often linked to race or sexual preference. Of course, this is Holly's viewpoint and these are her limited thoughts on different forms of life. Now, if this were just any character in the book, it could be seen from that perspective. However, Holly is a much loved character throughout the literary world and her stereotypical thoughts might just rub off on others. Not stating any book banning or bashing, but merely mentioning people should be aware of this after or during reading Breakfast at Tiffany's.
