The Stand: Captain Trips by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa

4.5 stars
The Stand is my all time favorite novel. One I've read at least a dozen times, at least half of those being the uncut version. So I don't know why it's taken me seven years to get around to reading the graphic novel adaption. Maybe I was afraid that it would ruin the book for me after all these years. Quite the opposite happened. It has made me want to read the book yet again. Aguirre-Sacasa's script is perfect adapting King's novel without being word-for-word. And the art by Perkins and Martin does a great job in visualizing King's world. I can't wait to start the next book, American Nightmares. And I think I'll be re-reading the novel again next year.
