Beautiful, emotional, and rich storytelling of a story we’ve all heard before. This reminded me of Salt Houses because of the way we follow generation after generation and get to know everyone.
I really enjoyed this throughout except for the last 1/3 of the book. I found it to be very repetitive and chaotic. Not event wise, but writing wise. One thing would be mentioned and it’s
Like the author got sidetracked and then came back to that thing only to explain it all over again.
