This book was good but not what I was expecting. I love an angsty story but the whole angsty situation went on way too long and it took till nearly the end of the book for anything to develop between Tess and Ryan. They were basically friends with benefits and the “will they won’t they” went on for way too long. I needed more time with them as a couple destroying the world together with the team. This might sound harsh but I’d barely call it a sports romance. I love the banter with the guys and Rachel and Tess’s friendship and of course my favorite Finn who is the voice of reason in this storm. I’m excited to read the vol 2 novella and Pucking Sweet. Poppy stole my heart in this book.
