On the Road by Jack Kerouac

2.0

I wish I had more to say on this book other than that it really didn't do anything for me. Where others found it spoke to them, I felt nothing. It baffles me how narrow minded the characters seemed despite their various travels and "enlightening" experiences or whatever. You know how people make jokes about those people who "find themselves" after travelling and being vaguely exposed to the outside world. Same vibes here. The on saving quality to this book is that Kerouac's writing is very well done. I listened to an audio book (and fell asleep listening many times...), so I didn't find it hard to follow, which I would recommend for people who think that the novel is a little disjointed.
