Nailed Down by Chelle Bliss, Eden Butler

5.0

The only regret I have about reading this book is that I waited so long to do it. I should have known, with Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler teaming up, that it would be one of the best reads of my year--but it was even more. This duo just BROUGHT IT in every category that's important to me in a sigh-worthy read. First and foremost, a hero worthy of a very long book hangover. Kane Kaino is, in one word, GAH. Built like a mountain and wired with the gruff nobility of a old-fashioned knight, this man is absolutely, completely perfect for Kit Carlyle, who has to face every milestone of her life, including the wrenching book opener, in the public eye. Kane's protectiveness and tenderness toward her is balanced by an alpha male streak that's utterly knee-melting--and makes for conflict that kept me turning pages as fast as I could. A wonderful, sexy, emotional ride of a story. I hope these two do more books together!
