The Call of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft

3.0

I was experiencing such mental resistance to keep reading all the way through during the cult narrations. It was so utterly boring for me, and similar stories never really suited my taste. If it wasn't for the strong introduction of the book, and the media's adoration for Lovecraft, I wouldn't have even began to go through with it.
The last few pages were its saving grace. I felt the power Cthulhu possessed and I'm stunned. The gist of Johansen's manuscript detailing his witnessing of the monster was very gripping.
