I HAVE NEVER GIVEN A BOOK ANYTHING UNDER THAN FIVE STARS WHAT I HAPPENED WHOA
But I know what's happening. This book made me sad. Disappointed.
The excitement of this book leaked off onto me and I bought it giddy and happy, but finished it truly trying to decide if I will continue onto the next book.
Everything about this book confused me. One minute it's good, the next I'm disgusted.
It was just a very disturbing, awkward book all around, from writing style to character relationships to plot. Disturbing.
The romance in it is very thin, and makes me incredibly angry, especially near the end. Not only is Elder almost creepily obsessed with Amy, it seems Amy doesn't even spare a second thought to him half the time. Which is just asdfghjkl.
The only good part about this book was Harley. I wanted to quit halfway through, but and only he is the reason I pushed through and finished it. HARLEY. MEH PRECIOUS. And the the ending. And now I don't even know.
There were many scenes in this book that I think were entirely unnecessary, that pretty much ruined the whole thing for me, making me not even notice the parts that may or may not be good.
Characters were okay not great.
Plot was moving and mysterious, but still just only okay.
That's the thing about this book--it was simply okay. Not great or perfect or epic.
Just okay.
