Wren is trying the dating apps, she had encounters that didn’t pan out, but then she stumbles across Adam’s profile. A dark brooding bookish type, her type.
They match instantly and meet for a date. They begin seeing each other and Wren falls for him- hard. She is bordering obsessive.
That is until Adam send a cryptic message and disappears. This not even 24 hours after Wren reveals a secret she hides from even the closets people in her life.
She is left wondering. His profiles are deleted, phone disconnected, and now a private investigator has showed up at her door to ask her questions about Adam.
Adam is linked to the disappearance of 3 missing girls, all girls who met, matched and dated him via the dating app.
Wren had been looking for a connection, but is now searching for answers, chasing digital trails, digging through her dark past, and embarking on a dangerous hunt.
She is at times the predator and at times the prey.
The investigation takes a turn when Wren goes off script to get her answers and find out what happened to those other missing girls.
This was an engaging read of dating apps gone wrong. The characters and their backgrounds were very interesting and complex.
