False Witness by Karin Slaughter

4.0

4 stars - audio

Karin Slaughter’s books are addicting…. This book was not as graphic as Pretty Girls but still has the heavy hitting topics (rape, pedophilia, murder, IV drug use, addiction). I couldn’t stop listening even though some of these topics are hard to read about. I love the sister relationship in this book (as with Pretty Girls). She wrote about all of this in the time of COVID which was interesting. She also touches on the intersection of race, economic status, and gender inequality. This book had one or two major twists unlike Pretty Girls that had a major twist every 50 pages. Still so so good and I will want to continue reading her books!
