I was hooked almost immediately after starting to read "The Reader's Brain". Yellowlees clearly applied her knowledge on writing well to writing this book!
From cause to effect to the musicality of language, I'm converted. I finally understand why the active voice is so powerful and how cadence improves readability.
I value this book so much that after I finished reading the copy I borrowed from the library, I had to order a copy to keep around so I can refer to it in my work.
