Whenever a story revolves around saving a dog it has my heart.
This book was suspenseful, well written, the fun kind of creepy, and contained the perfect amount of comedic relief. It was unique without being convoluted, to the point without being boring, and as always, endlessly entertaining!
Kingfisher remains one of my favorite popcorn horror authors!
P.s. no MC pregnancy tropes, but there is light mention of the concept of pregnancy.
