Over My Brother's Dead Body, Chase Andrews by Piper Rayne

5.0

Chase Andrews is the huge, silent, and grumpy tight end for the Kingsmen; and for the last two years he's been pining after his friend and teammate's little sister. When she is suddenly single and has come to town cat-sitting for the apartment across the hall, Chase can't deny the sexual tension brewing between them.

Twyla's fiance has ended their engagement and can't stand to stay in her small town with everyone's pity, so she finds herself going across the country for an extended visit with her brother. Her brother is intensely overprotective, and she doesn't know how she could ever get him on board with her crush on his teammate.

This book is the third in a series, but can be read as a standalone. If you have been reading the series though, you'll know that there have been little hints of Chase's admiration of Twyla here and there, so I have been WAITING for this one! I'm a sucker for the dating a friend's sister trope, and also love a good grumpy/sunshine story, which this story has in spades.  Reading about Twyla and Chase's encounters around their apartment complex, their shared custody of a kitten, and their nervousness interacting with Miles around kept me so entertained. I loved watching their relationship develop, and of course this book doesn't skip out on the spice.

Sports romances are some of my favorites and Piper Rayne write some of the best ones. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us!

Thanks to Valentine PR for providing me with an ARC of this book.
