Love Is a Mix Tape by Rob Sheffield
emotional
sad
fast-paced
5.0
Rock journalist Rob Sheffield lookd back on the cassette tapes that played the soundtrack of his early life with his first wife before she died.
Yes, that is truem but this book id also a 220 page love letter to a girl who made everyone fall in love with her, who sewed her own clothes, found the best new music, and unapologetically lived "angel" by aerosmith.
I cried so much. I totally fell in love with her, too. Thr ultimate act of love is to remember them and let them live on in the stories we tell, and this book does that without being soppy.
Also its just a very well written exploration of love and grief and moving on. And it has some great mixes.
