I recently finished book 2 in the Xiveri Mates series Taken to Nobu by Elizabeth Stephens.
While book 1 still does hold my top spot in this series ( for now) I Really did love the journey of self healing our fmc went on in this book.
Kiki has had some awful SA commited against her ( not by our mmc) and while the attack isn't on page you still feel every bit of pain she felt and is continuing to struggle with.
Elizabeth you scared me there in the beginning by basically throwing Kiki into her worse case scenario...another hunt...and when our sweet boy thinks he's initiating a mating ritual and he doesn't realise he's making her relive a trauma I nearly threw the book.
But I'm glad he turned out to be super intuitive to his mate and gave her the time and space she needed to heal
