Unique first contact cosmic horror story about a mother and daughter caught up in an alien ‘invasion’. Going into this read, I had heard mixed reviews of this book, but I found it to be an enjoyable, action-packed, and well thought out first book of a planned trilogy. David Wellington has a fun writing style with short, focused chapters and I look forward to reading more of his work, in particular the next in this series - Revenant-X. Highly recommended!
