Delay of Game by Maggie Rawdon

Their story is so cute and honestly not what I was expecting. This picks up shortly after Waylen and Kenzie get together in the previous book so we get to see how some of their relationship progressed as well. This is a friends to lovers trope. They both have feelings that they hadn’t dug too deep into exploring or even admitting to themselves let alone each other. This gives backstory on how they met and why they are as close as they are and how liv became “football mom” for the team. It gets a little deep and emotional when talking about their past. Liam makes me so mad through part of this with how he treats her because he’s trying to “do what’s best for her” and it’s a load of crap. I love that she rally’s all of his teammates to her side to help get through his thick skull. I’m so happy at how this ends but at the same time the ending felt so rushed. Really good storyline with a bit of spice thrown in.
