This story had me wanting to hold my child so close and never letting her go, because this world is so so cruel. But this story was so good and such an eye opening experience. Many moons ago the movie Slumdog Millionaire came out and it highlights the rough streets of India and some very difficult things to watch that happen to children who are orphaned or runaways. This story took me back to the first time I watched that movie. The amount of hurt and trauma these kids went thru but their drive to live “free” and away from abuse is what this journey is about. I would definitely recommend this story to maybe older kids, because of the difficult topics.
