The Sunshine Court by Nora Sakavic

5.0

When I read the original All For The Game Trilogy 1 year and a half ago, I never thought we would get a fourth (and a fifth) book.
It was a dream come true when Nora announced it and I was overexcited to get to discover a new side of her story.

I was a bit afraid I wouldn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the Trilogy but from the moment I picked it up, I couldn't stop myself and I finished it in one day.

Jean's story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. You hurt for a character who never thought he could be himself, never free and always a property. And then comes the hope of a new beginning with new and old characters who support him and try to give him the best they can.

I didn't remember the fox to be this funny, and how good that was to see them once again. Especially Kevin and Neil, who both played a major role in Jean's past. The three of them so different, but who were meant to be together until the end.

Cat, Laila and Jeremy felt like a breath of fresh air. They all are so precious and try their best to welcome Jean into their team and their lives. It doesn't always go as planned, they are sometimes a bit clumsy and don't always have the right approach but they never had to deal with a situation such as this one and are genuinely trying to help.

I already can't wait to read the second book —and internally hope there will be a third—, Nora made me fall in love with AFTG all over again 💕
