While the first book I would say is a little bit better this one is still a great read. I was a little frustrated at the beginning, I felt Maxim was turning into a douche and it would be hard to root for him and Lennix especially since it seemed like all they did was have sex but after the first third of the book I was won back over like the beginning of The Kingmaker. I'll definitely have to read Kimbas story next!
