Again to Carthage by John L. Parker Jr.

4.0

A fitting, satisfying sequel to Once a Runner. This was a "bigger" piece of work, and some might say it carried more irrelevant baggage, but it felt more like a really good book and less like a cult classic. I can't imagine it would be as enjoyable if one hadn't read the first book. All in all, Parker is highly readable, the story moves briskly, the charachters remain interesting and compelling, and the story holds together nicely. I liked it enough to stay up well into the morning (on a work day) to finish it (and was glad I did).
