Full review to follow. This book surprised me with how good it was, actually. A really strong sense of voice, and some gorgeous but not overblown writing. It's a dark story featuring some messed up characters and it isn't for the sensitive, but it's also a story of hope and healing. Plus it features gay astronauts which is like, excellent. More gays in space. Seriously though, these guys are adorable nerds. I liked how it combined different elements of SF: interplanetary travel, AI, virtual reality... It definitely made it less predictable. My one quibble would be that I sometimes got muddled as to who was narrating a chapter, and that threw me off. But yeah, surprisingly good. I'll write a full review for my blog soon.
