GOD DAMN.
Okay.
So that was not what I expected. The first 40% of this book was really fucking subtle. And, you know, typical. But… it didn’t end that way at all.
I won’t sit here and pretend that I could all the way handle all the God stuff, but… it wasn’t bad. Or obnoxious. It was introspective. In this case, God isn’t an excuse, God is consciousness. It’s a perspective I haven’t seen in a long time, and one I thought died with Dickinson.
This pierced me like a needle.
