 ➽ I’m going to be honest: I think I’ll DNF this series! I did enjoy the first volume - but have since rated it down to 3 stars, as it wasn’t that memorable - but this isn’t what I was hoping for. The premise of a Noble being stuck in a different world and working as an adventurer was SO good, but it’s barely used here. Lizel doesn’t really try to get back to his world or even think about how he ended up in this new world. The most intriguing part of the premise keeps being ignored to the point where I question why it was even included. Lizel could have been a part of this world and nothing would have changed. The story also feels like it’s going nowhere, there’s no goal and this volume felt largely like filler. 

➽ The characters were intriguing at first but felt so shallow. Lizel is basically good at everything and absolutely everyone is obsessed with him, which got old real fast. Gil is more the brooding, distant type, but I don’t feel like we got to know him at all. The dynamics between the characters just feel so over the top and I’m not really interested in seeing where they go.
