Heart Talk: Poetic Wisdom for a Better Life by Cleo Wade

It's a *cute* book. I had the pleasure of meeting Cleo in DC after she spoke at a women's conference & I bought this book because of HER. Hearing her, the powerful things she said, how honest she is. However, her writing in this book doesn't hit me as hard as she did. I'm also starting to get over this style of poetry where every two words the author drops down a line for impact, but the words themselves have to be meaningful. Although there is a lot of simplicity in this book for adult readers, she does have a few gems in there that I will be taking with me. 3 stars.
