Leurs enfants après eux by Nicolas Mathieu
4.25
this is not the most exciting or spectacular book i’ve ever read, but it has already gained a very special place in my heart
So much nostalgia - especially having grown up in france (although in the 00s and 10s, not the 90s)
a story lead by bittersweetness, about one’s resignation to a mediocre life but with the pride of it being one’s own, aka “Life isn’t great but at least it’s my life”
