And again a very atmospheric read with spooky vibes, a mystery and a little magic. And once again I loooved the setting of the story. This time it was a small coastal town in 1937 France and the scenery that is described is absolutely beautiful. I miss the sea so much! I also enjoyed that automated toys were a part of the story. I looove those since I played Syberia... And I really like how they are used in the book. The mystery was okay. It was tragic, but something was missing for me and I couldn't put a finger on it for the longest time. Until I realized: I was not invested in the characters at all. Which is a little sad since I loved so many aspects and details of the story.
