Good audiobook narator .

This was out of my usual genre but I enjoyed it quite a bit The dark scenes happen off screen but you're told enough of them to feel their power and pain.

Its a feminist modern fairy tale, standing up against the patriarchy in the village.

The imagery is beautifully shown

my only real criticism is that more time should have been govern between Edith and Denetrious at the start to show their love. We're told but not shown and it feels a bit hollow.

I also disliked the end..
Spoiler skew came back to demetrious and.. I guess is with him in heaven? fuck her second love who she lived her life with . idk I guess that's why I never got on well with religion and their idea of heaven
