Fiction Highlights in this issue:
-"Read Before Use" by Chinelo Onwualu was a wonderful read. Granted, I have a huge bias toward any work that includes libraries and archives at their core. A pleasant adventure style romp and a great read.
-John Chu's "Making Magic Lighting Strike Me" was a gripping and intriguing story. I loved the queer relationship in this book, the challenges of body and physical identity that were addressed, and the imbalance between rich and poor lifestyles.

Non-fiction that I loved in this issue:
-Mimi Mondal's "Missive from a Woman in a Room in a City in a Country in a World Not Her Own" was a beautifully written piece that does an excellent job of exploring intersectionality, race, and identity in our current world.
-"City of Villains: Why I Don't Trust Batman" by Sarah Gailey was glib and filled with wit. For me it also highlighted the fact that there are always multiple sides to a story and the importance of valuing the lived experience of those on the margins of mainstream narrative.
