Thoughts
Oh. My. Gosh. I have so many emotions. I have been waiting for this story since book one and somehow Catharina Maura still exceeded my expectations. I devoured this book in one sitting and my only regret is that the series is over now!

I absolutely adored seeing the other side to Xavier and how attentive, devoted, and loving he can be. Sierra is and will always be a bada**, and I'm elated she got her happy ending. The tension between the two was chef's kiss amazing. The progression of their relationship felt very real and I was right along with the characters and their emotions. The Windsors series is one of my all time favorite romance series and this book was the perfect ending (but also kind of a beginning???). I already want to read their story again. Catharina is so incredibly talented. We are introduced to new characters in this book and she somehow made them all well-rounded without detracting from Sierra and Xavier's relationship. I just love them so much and could  read an entire book of pure fluff to have more of them.

A few of my favorite quotes

- Mrs. Windsor protocol
- I suppose it makes sense for the devil to come in an enticing package. Makes it easier to trick unsuspecting souls.
- I’m so distraught he seems to have cut pages out of books, like some kind of psychopath…
- Dear Kitten, please know that I wish it were my hands on your skin each time you wear these necklaces.
- “Then I better make sure to give you something to think about, hmm?”
- “Bold of you to assume I’m capable of thinking straight when she’s near.”
- “Sierra,” I warn. “There isn’t much I won’t let slide when it comes to you, but there are lines you shouldn’t cross. Eat with him if you’d like, but you’re leaving with me after.”
- “I won’t look at anyone but you, won’t touch anyone but you. For as long as you’re my wife, I’ll be loyal and faithful to you, and I expect the same in return.”
- “I’ll never want you,” she snaps. “Not in a million years.” I cup the back of her neck, my thumb brushing over her pulse point. “Then I’ll wait a million years and a day, Kitten. I’ll wait forever if I need to, so long as you understand you’re mine as much as I’m yours.”
- She looks like my wildest dreams come to life, and my entire body reacts at the sight of her. Fuck. I can’t believe she’s about to become my wife. In what world does someone like me get to marry Sierra Windsor?
- “I’m pleased to inform you that I am, in fact, married - and I’m incredibly devoted to my wife.”
- “If I look even remotely excited, it’s because I was planning how to kill you in your sleep. Do you have a preferred way to go? Poison, perhaps?” “I do, actually. I’d love to suffocate between your thighs.”
- “What do you want from me?” I ask, pained. “Just tel me, and I’ll fucking do it.” “Nothing,” she whispers. “Everything.”
- “Don’t ever, for even a single second, think I don’t care about you, Sierra. You’re always on my mind. Always.”
- He looks at me like I’m a goddess, and he’s my devout worshipper.
