Hopeless by Elsie Silver
4.5
One of my all-time favourite tropes is a marriage of convenience (or in this case, a fake engagement) and this book did not disappoint! From their hilarious banter to the way they were both so overprotective of one another to the wholesome found family vibes from all those family dinners, this book made it so difficult to put down.
Bailey was an absolute gem; I loved her spontaneity, and her no-filter questions were the highlight of the whole book! Beau always choking from the shock cracked me up every time. He was spontaneous in his own tamer way but I really liked seeing him go back to his protective self but also not the same person he was before his accident. He grew to be someone better for everyone and of course, for himself. His struggle towards that was painful but so heartwarming.
I loved how they both understood one another in a way no one else could.
Overall, it was a really good book, it just didn’t feel like a five-star one to me.
