Au revoir là-haut by Pierre Lemaitre
5.0
Great book, very much divided two parts I would say
The story is about two protagonists that come back to France both physically and mentally scarred by the First World War
This is the story of their trauma and how they try to reintegrate France’s postwar society
If you are interested in history but don’t want to read a text book about it this book is a good first insight about the toll it took on the soldiers who fought during the Great War
