I loved the main character!!! A book smart and witty eleven year old with a love of chemistry and antics, she is the perfect person to narrate this story. At times I did feel as though her character was a bit too unrealistic; did you know what "sweet nothings" meant when you were eleven? Overall, I enjoyed the first Flavia de Luce novel and look forward to reading more about the fabulous characters Alan Bradley has created!
