Reading all the mixed reviews and I see where people are coming from. Yea it’s cheesy, no it’s not the best writing I’ve ever read, maybe it’s a bit on the nose.
However, at the end of the day, I really wish I could have given this book to my depressed,15 year old, existential self. I think that’s what makes it powerful, and that’s what is going to keep me thinking about this book way after I finish it. I know this is a really impactful book for a lot of people. It’s encouraged many to think about their own parallel lives. I just love parallel universe sci-fi so this was a fun read.
