I put off reading The Bone Season for so long, the revised edition convinced me to finally pick it up. It's one of the best decisions I've made this year, Samantha Shannon's style flows very easily off the page and is, in turn, extremely easy to read. Paige is very compelling, and the story in itself sheds the "dystopian chosen one" cliche pretty quickly, considering when it was written. Warden is also a very strong character, and the slow burn is also immaculate. I'm in such a book hungover (also waiting for the next revised tomes to come out) that I picked up the Pale Dreamer novella instead of starting a new one, which says a lot. Definitely a must read (with great representation as well).
