i want to like fantasy so bad but it just doesn’t do it for me. though this is a YA book, it was painfully YA.
i found the plot to be predictable and the character development wasn’t suuuuper remarkable.
the thing i did enjoy about it was the LGBTQIA+ representation — they way it’s incorporated in the story is organic and doesn’t feel shamed or forced like it does in other fantasy books.
