First- I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. We Are Okay- is still my favorite by this author- so I wanted to make that distinction.
I love the way LaCour writes. I’ve read close to everything she’s written. She has a way that speaks to my heart.
I found this one a little more confusing than the others I’ve read- I’m not sure why. I think maybe because the perspective meandered a bit. Anyway- still I found the story captivating, engrossing, and melancholy at times. Vintage LaCour- in my experience.
