Emily has to be one of my favorite characters. Imagine if Temperance from the TV show Bones was studying Fairie and misses the nuances of human interaction. That is Emily, but she is absolutely loveable despite her logical and not-so-emotional nature. This book is full of all types of Faery as well as a bright and happy colleague that is the opposite of Emily and a very wonderful wold hound companion and of course a Faery king trapped in a tree. I really would love to go on more adventures with Emily and Wendell.
