I read this as a satire book, like Clueless. The characters are written to be so completely out of touch with reality due to being mega rich. There were definitely some funny moments.
The family owns an entire section of Singapore that shows up as a black hole on Google maps and isn’t able to be located on navigation. The family can’t get into a hotel due to racism by the manager so they buy the hotel and fire him.
