I really enjoyed this, it's a superb exploration of female friendship (and the struggles of growing apart) as well as a book about embroidery. Little snippets of non-fiction are interspersed about the history of embroidery, a very female activity that has united cultures across humanity, and been used as both a means of oppression and of rebellion.
