I couldn’t wait until this new Hunger Games book came out! I pre-ordered it and it shipped to me the day it was released. Having read the Hunger Game series and watched the movies, I could see the connections made in this new book which made it even more interesting. Just a few of the things you learn in this prequel: 

• You learn more about Panem. 
• You see the evolution of Snow from who he was at 18 years of age and the slow progression to who he eventually becomes. 
• You learn the origin and meaning of the song “The Hanging Tree” that Katniss Everdeen sings in Mockingjay. 

If you are a fan of the Hunger Games series, this is definitely a must read!
