I found this book to be incredibly slow and a bit redundant to be honest. Also, it was just a bit too focused on SA and demeaning women for me. I know that’s a major part of the plot line but it really just got to be way too much. 

There wasn’t really a lot of character progression or depth beyond Auren and the other saddles being abused. The woman can’t seem to catch a break, king Midas sucks and most of the men are garbage. Really confused by the hype about this series but maybe it gets better?
