Mad About Ewe by Susannah Nix

My review...disappeared. I'll be succinct in this one: this is blatant, unapologetic, author-approved fan fiction. That isn't necessarily bad, but it begs the question of whether this particular "universe" is strong enough to support the multitude of spinoffs and side stories. It isn't, not for me. This was an easy read, overall well-written but with distracting and unnecessary references to events in other stories. Fan fic is dependent on someone else building a world, and you know what you're getting when you go into it. I, unfortunately, keep getting suckered in by a good cover and interesting premise.

Overall, this was an okay book. I found myself irritated through half of this, even as I appreciated the story dealing with some serious topics like women's health, building relationships after divorce and death, lack of confidence, etc. It could have been really good. It was just off for me.
