This was such a heartwarming tale of family, friendship and love that I couldn’t put down!

From their near death meet cute on a Gondola lift during a snowstorm to their trials of fake dating, I absolutely loved both Levi and Jane. And loved how organic their attraction and blossoming relationship felt.

Jane, whose fear of abandonment means she never stays too long in a single place (and keeps everyone around her at arms length) goes through such an emotionally intense journey that did have me tearing up at times but I loved how understanding and supportive Levi was.

Dealing with his own share of relationship trauma, I enjoyed the openness and vulnerability we see in Levi. His family were also such a loving bunch (if a little nosy at times) and I enjoyed seeing how much their warmth helped Jane to feel welcome.

We also get a second romance between Charlotte, Jane’s landlord and best friend Charlotte and Levi’s best friend Mateo (who also happens to be neighbours and work colleagues with Charlotte and Jane) which I absolutely loved as well.

Charlotte like Jane is also emotionally closed off when it comes to love and really enjoyed the slow burn build up and I was incredibly impressed with the amount of emotion these two conveyed—I do hope we see more of them (and Levi and Jane) in future books.

Overall, a wonderfully compelling and heart meltingly enjoyable read—though I still recommend checking out the TWs before reading.

And a massive thank you to Headline Eternal for the PB copy.
