Make You Burn by Megan Crane

3.0

I don’t easily read a new MC series by authors I never read before. I’m extremely picky when it comes to reading MC books so I was very worried when I started with this book. This series is written by a few different authors. I have to say this is the first time I read a book by this author. I really liked Ajax, but I did not love him. Ajax finds himself back to his hometown of New Orleans after the President of his MC passed away. That is after he was exiled from ten years by said president. I can definitely say that Ajax is al take charge, hot, sexy, alpha male.

I really enjoyed Sophie’s character. Now she’s the daughter of the former president of the MC. She’s also independent, strong, and has just about enough sass. She can dish it out as well as take it. Now this book as a real nice start to the Deacons of Bourbon Street. I think the only thing disappointing was when the story line picked up at one point, with the former president death might not be an accident, then it just kind of dropped off. I mean that was really disappointing. I wanted to know if he was really killed and who did it. When will we find this out because I’m not sure it will be explored further in this series? I also didn’t like the unanswered question of why the four best members of the MC got exiled all those years ago.

Make You Burn is almost all about the steamy, hot relationship between Ajax and Sophie. I kept hoping for more info on the club and that the plot was more developed. This book is an okay start for the series and I’m hoping the next book brings, at least some answers. This book just needed more for me!
