The Shop on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber

4.0

I borrowed this ebook from the public library because I'd bought a 'Blossom Street' book at the book fair and found out it is part of a series.

The story is light reading and cute; a quick, easy read with a happy ending. The story centers around a yarn shop on Blossom Street, and 4 women who bond of knitting lessons. Lydia, who owns the shop and teaches the lessons, is a 2-time cancer survivor afraid of entering relationships because she fears a recurrance. Carol is a woman experiencing infertility issues who desparately wants a child and will go through anything to get one. Jacqueline is a member of the country club set, whose husband is the architect redeveloping Blossom Street, and who feels her son has just married beneath himself. Alix is a down an out resident of one of the about-to-be renovated apts on Blossom Street, who can't seem to catch a break. The book tells the story of how these women become friends, and of course, has a happy ending!
